THE PROCESS

How Our Claims Work

If you have suffered any accidental loss, damage, liability, sickness or injury that is anticipated will result in a claim that requires our assistance or involvement then give us notice as soon as reasonably practical by contacting KT Insurance:

  • During office hours (Monday to Friday | 8:30AM - 5:30PM AEDT) please call our team via 1300 261 261
  • For all after hours emergency assistance phone 1300 261 261 and listen to the recorded message for further assistance

In order to lodge a claim you will need to have handy:

  • Your policy number
  • Details of what happened
  • Details of any other people or vehicles involved (including the other drivers name, registration number and address)

If any documents need to be sent to us to support your claim lodgment, you can do this via:

Our claim lodgment process is completed over the phone with our claims team. They are available during business hours (8.30 am to 5.30 pm AEDT) and can be contacted by calling 1300 261 261 and selecting option 5.

Tell Us What Happened

Give us a few details of what happened and any photos if you have them and our team can help point you in the right direction.

We will review your claim and take any necessary steps.

We will contact you to discuss the next steps for your claim and we will keep you posted along the way.

OTHER TYPES OF CLAIMS

Mechanical / Electrical Breakdown Towing

No Claim Form is required to be completed.

If you have broken down due to a mechanical or electrical fault and you need a tow to the nearest repairer you can either arrange for the tow yourself if you know of a tow company nearby, pay for it and then submit a copy of the account to us (email or post) and we will reimburse you in accordance with the limit under the policy ($600 per incident with a maximum of $1000 per policy period).

Or

If you need assistance in arranging an electrical or mechanical breakdown tow you can ring 1300 984 984. They will then need the following information, your location, length, height and weight of your vehicle to be able to arrange the appropriate towing service. You will need to pay for the tow then submit a copy of the account to us email or post, and we will reimburse you in accordance with the limit under the policy ($600 per incident with a maximum of $1000 per policy period).
